The Pizza Hut restaurant in Waterloo, at Chaussée de Bruxelles 291, reopened on Monday 5 July. The restaurant is housed in a completely new and ecological building with 76 solar panels and a green roof.
The new restaurant opens its doors in a fresh setting, with 158 seats spread over 2 floors and a cosy family table for large groups. But this restaurant also has environmentally friendly advantages. “A great deal of effort has gone into giving this restaurant a strong ecological and sustainable aspect. For example, 76 solar panels with a capacity of 20 kVA were installed, enabling the restaurant to generate 15% of its energy needs”, says Stef Vincke, Operations Director of Pizza Hut Belgium. “On top of that, we have provided a green roof to stimulate biodiversity and act as an ecological CO2 filter. We aim to ensure a sustainable future with Pizza Hut and will focus more and more on this.”
The restaurant in Waterloo will also have all the classic Pizza Hut elements, such as the all-you-can-eat Pizza Buffet every afternoon between 12 noon and 2 pm, plus salad bar and self-service drinks stand. The new restaurant will be open 7 days a week between 11.30 am and 10 pm.
